Frequently, customers add products to their carts and do not complete the purchase process.

They may of been distracted by real-life, decided they want to comparison shop, became confused by the check-out process, or simply want to wait a while.

Abandoned Cart Reminder helps recapture these lost sales.

It will send reminders / alerts at configurable intervals to the customer and remind them they have an abandoned cart.

You can even encourage them to purchase by including a coupon (auto generated) in the reminder!

Does it have provisions built in for
  1. Avoiding multiple emails - a customer may have multiple abandoned carts, but should be sent only one email
  2. Avoid spamming - if someone just bought something within the last 3-4 days, then they shouldn't be sent an email for a cart they abandoned 5-6 days ago
  3. Multilingual support - customers should receive email in the language of the order
  4. Email content editing - Shop owners should be able to create the email content much like in the Request Reviews extension http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=124&t=20997

One would just need to make sure to include this in the privacy policy or site terms/conditions. Personally, I hate getting email if it's not "important." Sounds like an interesting idea though just make sure that you understand the line drawn between being helpful, and annoying.

Cheers
