Newsletter - email queue

Hi,

My hosting provider has a limit of 2000 emails per hour.

Anyone knows if opencart works with email queue?

Exemple:
If i send 3000 emails, in the first hour will be send 2000 and in the next hour more 1000 emails.

I found this extension: Newsletter Enhancements - V2 - vQmod

One of the funcionalities is:

E-MAIL THROTTLE - Workaround when you send out large numbers of e-mails and hosting provider has hourly limit

So, now i'm confused.. How opencart works on default (without the extension)?
Can i configure how many emails accepted by my hosting provider?
