Hello all,

I would like to offer free samples to customers. To avoid abuse, the number of free items should be limited.
I think of free sample products to be identified by a 'free sample' flag or to give the sample products a separate stock value (free sample stock for example). The customers could have a free sample value as well, so the number of free samples can be defined.

A supplemental option would be, to have the customer pay if they want supplemental samples.

Who can use this: ALL shops who sell items that cannot be visualized.
Olfactive: Perfume shops, cosmetic shops, etc. etc.
Taste: food, etc.

Any idea's would be great. Maybe this feature can be done by an extension.

Maybe it can be

I just did this for a customer. It's a large project because the samples could either be tied to a specific product OR just be shipped out separately. Some websites keep two shopping carts for samples and their normal items and keep them separate. Yes, it needs to be an extension. I will add to my list.
