It would be great to be able to edit customer invoices once the order has been made if the customer has made a change etc. Currently they have to go make the order again with the changes. I am only new to open cart so if it does do it please let me know cheers.

Since 1.5.2 , you as an admin are able to edit the customer's orders. But the customer cant update the order himself.

This is because the shipping charges are calculated based on the available shipping methods you have setup for your shop.

Hi Joel/guys,

How do I make this possible? Is there a workaround to accomplish this? I tried to make 2 most likely identical Shipping Method (e.g. Small pouch 1:5,2,10,3:15 and Big Pouch 1:5,2:20,3:25) but still I can't edit Shipping Method in SALES>ORDER>edit order. I'm using OpenCart 1.5.3.1 version, default theme. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The problem when editing shipping methods is once the order has been processed by the client. Most of time, the client already receives confirmation over email that a transaction is being processed on his behalf before it gets officially completed. This confirmation may include customer details which the shipping method on the previewed invoice may already be included on the order.

Without the customer's consent on using another shipping method, it wouldn't suitable for the client to force the change over the admin section regarding different options which the customer has already selected during checkout.

But by doing that you can notify the client or resend the invoice before you to proceed his/her order.

While this statement is correct, what about merchants allowing to update orders automatically by being set to complete live during checkout once the payment gateway response confirms a completed order ?
