Hello, after getting past the installation stage when I reac the shop or admin page this is what I see:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()in /home/public/opencart/system/database/mysql.php on line 6

What am I doing wrong, and how can I fix this?

That's a problem with your server. Sounds like mysql was not compiled with your server. Contact your host provider and have the check into it

get rid of the php.ini file is the solution.
