BoGo Module v1.0 has been released.

Use this mod to setup an online promotion where you offer your customers a specific item at discount when they purchase another one. This concept is also known as BoGo, Buy one Get One.

Once the required product has been placed into the shopping cart, the promotion is activated and the promotional product automatically added to the cart at the price you specified. In addition to the the required item, you may also specify the minimum value of products in the cart before the promotion is activated.

You may also configure the module to activate the promotion when cart's value reaches a specified amount. For example, "Spend $100 and get this item as a FREE gift".

Take a look at the Demo to see the mod in action. Click here to view additional images of the mod's admin interface.

This module requires several OpenCart core files to be modified during installation.

Thank you

Great module even better support from the developer. I highly recommend this product to any one that has a need for a "Buy one Get one" application.

Looks good, although you may want to amend it so they can't order the free item with out anything else.

I've just tied it out and can remove the notebook from the basket and still go through the check out with just the free item in the basket.

Also, can you only have one offer for one item at a time? can you restrict what categories the items that go towards the total come from?

I'd find it very useful if I could set it so the customer gets items 1, 2, 3 or 4 free (their choice) when they spend £x from y category.

Looking at the screen shots, it doesn't look like it works that way, is that right?

Has this module been updated to work with OpenCart 1.4.0? I don't see any indication on the Bogo site.

As a long time CubeCart user, I can tell you Goober - yes, same guy - had been doing CC mods and has had long periods of absences.

He has one CC mod I would like to have, but would not consider it due to several pages of "Goober where are you?" in the thread.

isn't this the same developer who encrypts all his code even the free mods?

Goobers mods are closed source and a bit untrusted because you dont know what is in there. I've not made a bogo mod yet but perhaps i can look into it

I suppose there's no way around this but changing alot of core files. Ofcourse it depends on how complex it's got to be. I'm currently working on a bundle mod that'll allow me to create bundles and make "packages" with selectable items.

The frontend:
oc_bundle_frontend.jpg

oc_bundle_frontend.jpg (64.56 KiB) Viewed 8289 times

The admin interface is not quite done yet, but it looks like this at the moment:
oc_bundle_admin.jpg

oc_bundle_admin.jpg (108.73 KiB) Viewed 8289 times

The way it is now, it changes alot of core files, which also makes it almost impossible to sell (should anyone want this).... I guess.

I'm still working (whenever I got the time) on this, and still need a few things like stock subtract, better admin UI and rethinking some stuff. If anyone got any suggestions or questions, feel free to comment or ask.

However, for a simple "BOGO" i suppose there's not really any need for it being like this, and it could just check if certains products are added to the cart, and calculate the discount (perhaps a new method in the system/library/cart.php and a new order total module?). What are your thoughts about that, Qphoria? How would you make it?

And sorry for hijacking the thread.. Maybe we should take this in a new thread.

Is there still no way of doing promotions in OC? Surely there must be an easy way of doing BOGOF, buy one get 2 free, buy 1 get 1 half price etc?

If not, what would be the suggested way? My client requires flexible offers functionality and i have no idea how to give them it!!

Cheers,
Rob

I need the module to allow me to sell 3 products, then allow the buyer to pick the 4th product for free. Will this module work for me? So buy 3, get one free :) Let me know
