Hello

I have defined a geozone for Greenland and I've activated the shipping zone extension in the admin, enabled the zone shipping to Greenland and defined the shipping cost.

..BUT......The costs of are not shown correctly on the checkpout page ... It just says 0 Dollars where is should give the cost I defined....

Can It be a missing database table or field?

Help appreciated!

you have to make sure that geo zone is linked with zones (countries, provinces).
So in Admin when you get on geo zone - click on the folder and make sure that correct zones are assigned to it - in your case probably Greenland.

Thanks Gary - But I have done that. The problem is on the checkout page, where it says "0" where it should say - in this case - "157" for the zone shipping cost to Greenland. It seems the defined cost is not recorded and used on the order checkout page...

Jakob

I have specified the weight in Catalog/product/data and the cost is specified in Extension/shipping/zone/configure(the wrench)  and Greenland Status: Enable, Greenland Cost: 156.

ok - so to specify cost you have to write maximum weight (in weight units that you configured) and then price.
so write 100000:156

this will mean that order which weight totals up to 100000 grams (if your weight unit is gram) - will cost 156 to ship.

If order will weight more than 100000  - shipping cost will be 0  . This is opencart bug. So specify very high number.

This did not solve my problem. When I increase the cost of the product the price of the zone based shipping is not increasing.

I also thinkg that if the shipping module is set to tax class --NONE-- that the fee for shipping should be displayed AFTER the tax in the shoping cart total. Otherwise it gives the impression that the shipping is being taxed as well.

i dont think of this as a bug, since it is normal for shop owners to offer free shipping when the amount exceeds a certain limit.

amount or weight?

it seems rather illogical to say for shipping cost:
up to 1 pound - $6
up to 10 pounds - $10
more than 10 pounds - $0
