Using OpenCart 1.5.2.1

I've noticed that in my options in the back office won't load. In the Catalog >> Options, they LIST and show over there, but when I go to add them on a product, they don't load. The dropdown menu that should have the option in it, remains blank and small, like it doesn't load

PLEASE HELP!!

Did you add option values to the option you enabled?

For example, if you active 'select' and add some values, such as blue, green, yellow, you then have to go and add those options to the products you offer in blue, green, and yellow.

The steps are:

Activate option
Create option values
Configure options in each product.

I've set it up twice before. The options are listed and enabled in the Catalog area but they still don't load when I go to add them to a product.

In a product, you must select the option tab, then type in the name of the option you are using. I think you are using a select list, so you type in select, then click the + sign to add an option, then click Add Option Value on the right to add the options you have configured for the select option type. You must add each applicable option value one at a time for each product. Only after that will the select box show on the product's product page.

Yes that''s what I was doing but the option I've put in the Catalog area with the extras (for example, small, med, large, etc.) but when I go to place it ON a product, EXACTLY as you mentioned, the drop down that would have the options (small, med, large) do NOT load. It stays like this:

You MUST click on Add Option Value to load the values for the option. What you posted is exactly how that screen will look prior to clicking that Add Option Value. You have added the option, you have not yet loaded option values that apply to that product. Doesn't seem like it should work that way, but I am sure there is a good reason that it does work that way.

What I posted (1st picture) is AFTER I've clicked "add option value." Any other time I've done this, I took the same steps and the options that I've implemented in the catalog will load in that first drop down menu and I can select WHICH one I need for that product. It currently doesn't allow me to do so

That is strange. Here is a thought, the base installation includes 'size' already created, you might try creating a new select option named xxx_size and see if you can use that. Don't know why. Have you checked the error log?

I checked the log and it was saying there was a bad something on the header.tpl on a certain line so I just uploaded a new header.tpl file and now I DON'T get the error, but it still doesn't work

How many options do you have named 'size'? It is possible to have many options with the same name.

This is about all I have. Beyond this is refreshing files whose names I don't know exactly, or manually altering the db to assign the values.

For the sake of clarity, which are true:

Size works with other products.
Other options work on this product.
Size does not work with any product.
No options work with this product.

Even when I go in and just look at ones that I'm not changing, they're blank as well.

Okay then, not a single option issue, not a single product issue. The solution is thus to refresh the files, what files is the question.

Try refreshing ../store/admin/controller/catalog/option.php. Beyond that I am lost as to what would cause this.

Nope, doesn't work on ANY product. I'll try what you suggested, but just to be clear, what you mean by "refresh," you mean to reupload just that file to my store from a fresh OpenCart install?

I have the same issue with my store, and the problem is that i didn`t nitice when this has started. Options values disappeared when editing products. i`ll try to debug this, but if anybody has something useful in mind...please share your thoughts.

I AM HAVING SAME ISSUES. I have 3 OC shops with different domains and have done a clean OC install (with no theme or modifications VQMOD modules added and the same thing. Any new options I create (ie "RANGE" or "MY SIZES" etc) only the heading shows and nothing next to them - I have tried RADIO, SELECT, CHECKBOX but nothing.
I have double checked and duplicated exactly the same as on the default OC setup because the ones already set up in the database with OC work fine - its only any that I create - ie: see "RANGE" http://iiart.com.au/index.php?route=pro ... duct_id=42

Somebody help.
