Is there any way to create or allow a customer to log into their own account and perform their own self-service? In other words, I am trying to create an online store where customers can purchase items that are pre-approved by their business. I would like for them to be able to log in to their own account and have only a pre-approved number of items available to them.

Eventually, I would like for them to be able to also view and "color" skin items, like shirts, ball caps, etc...and possibly have an image with their logo somehow embedded on the image. I know this will take some exploration, but just thought I would check to see if this is even possible with Open Cart.

If not, does anyone know of a product that has these capabilities, or even the initial one I asked about?

That would take some custom work to build something like that. I am not aware of any cart system that would do that because it is a unique idea.

You could look at hiring somebody to make those changes to OpenCart. The framework that Daniel has built OpenCart on should allow for something like this.

As far as the listing only certain products for certain customers.. You could do that with the customer groups system that v1.3.2 has. You would need a mod for adding product control under it. Basically each product would have a selector box on which customer group(s) could see the item. Then the model would be updated to include that as part of the db query criteria
