Hello,

Right now, when I select a category, 9 products are being displayed per page but I would like to have 12 products per page. Do you know where I can change this? I didn't see any option in the Admin Panel and neither did I find something in /catalog/template/default/plugin/category.tpl or /include/category.php.

Also, I would like to add Previous and Next buttons for when I have more than 1 page of products per category. Does someone know how to do this?

Thanks

Hello,

Admin >> Configuration >> Setting >> "Shop Tab" = Rows per page

Thanks so much.

I didn't see this option. I am really sorry.

Wouldn't it be better to call it "products per page" instead of "rows per page" since it is actually not the number of  rows but the number of products?

Yes I agree, this can however be customized in the language packs for now.

Products per page is nice..but I would like to have 4 columns instead of the standard 3. So, it would be nice to actually be able to choose how many rows and how many columns you would like used for your product display.

products are listed in floated divs - so the fact that there are 3 per row is determined by picture size and page content width, I think. I think it is better than rigid table format.

Gary,

I disagree. If I change the default.css

#content width to 1000px and change #container to 1500px I still only see 3 colums of items. But now they are spead really far apart.

check also ".products, .images, .categories { width " entry. I think it was 33.3% in original css. So try changing it to 24% or fixed smaller width

this thread is quite useful, I'm trying to figure out how to change the setup to appear like this (only for products - not sub cat)

product1: this is a brand new that --> small camera (means picture available) --> Price --> add to cart button

product2: this is a brand new that --> small camera (means picture available) --> Price --> add to cart button

product3: this is a brand new that --> small camera (means picture available) --> Price --> add to cart button

etc...

lucky_sleven,

Do you mean you want to have your products shown as rows rather than individial item shown in a grid format?

I solved this problem :)... looking in the code catalog/template/default/content/category.tpl (at the bottom of the page, remove the and place   instead. also resized the img to 25 x 25.
