Are there any payment modules for this shopping cart besides the pre-installed ones.

That is an EXTREMELY limited list. I like this shopping cart, but it seems that I cannot use it.

Very Frustrating!!!

If we go with one of those, that is what I will use.

What about First Data Global Gateway?

or Google Checkout

Google checkout is planned for next version of OpenCart I believe

There is already a "Cash on Delivery" module. Just rename it to "pickup"

its the same.
Technically "Cash on Delivery" in the way OpenCart uses is should be called "Cash on Pickup". Because to use actual COD features, where the post office actually picks up the payment, would cost money for their fees and that would need to be figured out.

The Opencart "cash on delivery" is simply a way to pay offline in person. Regardless if you are bringing the item to them personally or they are picking it up.

Should be called like "Cash at transaction" but we are overthinking the most simple of concepts.

Would the cost be comparable to those on your website?

OK to get back to the point of this thread (ok nearly a year later), am with Qphoria on this a rename from Cash on delivery to cash on collection is fine (or clone) but there is one small thing i would like to add, if you had a different collection location from your main office you would need to go a bit deeper.

This would probably be better in the Shipping function 'Pickup in store' as the customer could chose to pay for it then pick it up.

My thinking is that we could duplicate the way the cheque payment info is handled by passing info about a pickup location into a $shipping variable like the $payment one.

Any body done this and want to save me some time?? or anyone need this function??

Cheers

Davy K

UPDATE: WOULD IT BEST BETTER TO ADD MULTIPLE LOCATIONS IN THE MAIN SYSTEM??

Hi folks on the open cart team,
I am quite new to open cart, am from java and Apache ofbiz, but open cart looks a much simpler and easier system to get along with and to maintain.

I would like to add a payment module where the registered customer has the ability to have a running cash account at the store, check his balance, view a few reports, etc. Apache Ofbiz has such functionality, but most store owners won't easily get along with its complexity.

The reason for the above is that a great percentage of the world outside the US and the developed Europe seem to use cash transactions in business and have no need for credit/debit cards yet still command good purchasing and business power (....).

I would like to add a payment module, where the customer is able to open a cash account at the store just like a log in account, deposit cash on it at the store owner's premises, then log in via the web, check his balance, view his transactions, print a small report, and is able to supply the same account credentials to pay for goods during check out.

Merry Xmas
