To make managing modules a little easier, I recommend that Opencart move to something like how Wordpress works when it comes to modules. Upload and install in the backend, or upload as you normally would. However, with managing in the backend, you would have a manifest file that is created by the module/add on creator. This manifest will be used so Opencart knows where to install files and when it comes time to remove it from your Opencart installation, it will know what to remove.

With a few stores on the goes and for how long they have been running, managing them can be a bit stressful. A feature like this would be very helpful, especially when a module is no longer supported by the version of Opencart you are using. It would make it alot easier to get rid of them for sure.
