Need Help with Upgrade from 1.2.9 to 1.3.2 Issues

I need help addressing several issues that have me stymied after recently upgrading my OC install to 1.3.2 from 1.2.9. See the following issues and efforts to resolve below:

1. Store Settings are not being saved. Any change I make to the settings (e.g. option to display login prices to logged in users) appear to not be saved to the db.

- I've verified my db user privileges are OK although that is not a factor since other admin data (product, category, etc.) is saved to db

2. I get a "Permission Denied" when selecting the "Error Logs" menu item in the "Admin" menu.

3. Product images are not displaying.

- I've emptied the image cache to no avail
- I suspect this may be related to item 1 above since the image size settings are not saved.

Thoughts anyone?

Images will not show up if the log file name has not been set in Admin-Configuration-Setting-Server(tab) and the image sizes have not been set. The log file name may also resolve your inability to save settings..maybe...hopefully. I didn't try to make any changes via settings after my upgrade.

You are receiving permission denied errors with the error log and there is probably two other options like user groups...and I can't remember the other one. I fixed this by creating another installation (with a new database) and used phpmyadmin to copy the permissions from the default admin user (or if you renamed it something other than the default 'admin') and pasted those permissions to my admin user for my main installation of opencart 1.3.2. That seemed to do the trick. The table to look for in your opencart db is: users and then browse the table. You should see the admin user and one of the columns in that table is permission(s).

Using the information you provided I resolved the image display and admin settings issue. I will try the resetting the admin permissions as you also suggested and report back.

LOL....where was that when I created a second install to steal the permission settings!!
