Shipping method to be selected by default

Hi everyone

Opencart 1.5.1.3

I have just one shipping method(flat rate), and i would like it to be selected so the customer doesn't have to click it. It is third in sort order. The first is a module "Spend X for free shipping". The name speaks for itself and it is just for information, no selection box. And if the shipping method is not selected, then the customer can't continue and no error message shows.

I have free shipping(second in sort order) as well. When the customer qualifies for free shipping, he sees as options free shipping, which is selected, and the shipping method.

I would like the shipping method to be selected as well when the customer lands on this page, so they can continue without selecting anything. So i would like it look like this:

Choose shipping method:
1)
selected - flat rate

2)
selected - free shipping
not selected - flat rate

Can someone please help me solve this issue. Thanks in advance.

Since 1.4.8, the first available option has always been pre-selected. Works that way for me in 1.5.1.3 as well.
