Slideshow module for older versions (1.4.9.3)[HELP NEEDED]

The 1.5 and higher of opencart has this super cool slideshow module. I am trying to port it to my current version 1.4.9.3. So, I went into the 1.5.1.3 installation and collected all the files that I think are for the slideshow module. I have attached the files here. When I copy these files into my 1.4.9.3 installation, I see that the module is added in the admin panel. When I click on the [Install] it seems to be installing it because the [Install] link changes to [Edit][Uninstall]. Now, when I click on the [Edit] link to enable the module, I just get a blank page. If possible can some one tell me how to proceed from here. I haven't tried yet but I would also like to get the carosel module on my older version at some point. I really like my 1.4.9.3 and I am not yet ready to upgrade to the 1.5. It will be cool though to have these modules for the older versions.
