Maybe I am missing the obvious, but for some reason I cannot figure out how to setup a Coupon in my OpenCart 1.5.1.3 install.

Here is my Problem...
I have setup a Coupon in the Admin to give a 20% Discount on all the Products in the Selected Category.
When I try to login as a Customer and add a Product to the Customer's Shopping Cart, I am expecting to see a "Coupon Code" Box asking me to type in my Coupon Code: "VDAY"? There is no Coupon Code Box on the Shopping Cart Page or on the Checkout Page. Where does the Customer enter the Coupon Code to take advantage of a Coupon?

Maybe I have not setup my Coupon Correctly? Here is how I setup my Coupon below.

In the Admin I choose "Sales" -> "Coupons", Click the "Insert" Button to add a New Coupon
Coupon Name: "Coupon (V-Day 20% Off)"
Coupon Code: "VDAY"
Type of Coupon: "Percentage" (I have tried Percentage and Amount with no luck)
Discount Percentage: 20.000 (for 20% Off)
Total Amount: 1.00
Customer Login: Yes
Free Shipping: No
Product Category: Checked the Checkbox next to the Category that contains the Products that I want to apply Coupon
Start Date: 2012-02-01
End Date: 2012-02-28
Uses per Coupon: 100
Users per Customer: 100

Maybe I do not have any Products Selected? How do I know if a Product has been selected to be included with the Coupon?

Any ideas?

Nevermind, totally my mistake. I missed the obvious, I recognized that when I went to
Admin->Extensions->Order Totals that "Coupon Total" was Disabled,
(Since I have never used Coupons)
Enabled "Coupon Total" and now I can see the Coupon Code Box on the Catalog Website

Everything works great! Hope this post will help someone else.

I want to borrow this thread since i have trouble with having the BOTH total and coupon % to calculate correct.

I have v 1.5.1.3
I want the coupon to give a 10% discount off on the product price (not the total)
(All prices is incl VAT and is specified at the bottom)

This is how it calculates now:

Product Total: 170 SEK (swedish krona)
Coupon(12345): -14 SEK
Shipping: 49 SEK
Total: 202 SEK
(of which VAT 25%): 40 SEK

Shouldnt the cupong (12345) say: - 17 SEK ?????

The problem is that my shop shows all incl a vat of 25%

How do i make the coupon NOT to calculate off 25% VAT? (but leaving everything else with incl 25% VAT)

I appreaciate all help :-)

Ah, found another topic with the solution; Just change the sort order in Admin under Extensions -> Order Totals so that VAT is shown after coupon instead of before. Not perfect because I'd rather have the discount shown incl vat, but the total price incl vat with discount is good now..
