I use debian linux + mysql 5.05 + php 5.2.6.
mysqladmin and mysql browser can recognize mysql, but the pre install opencart cannot.
Please kindy help.
by the way, how to start/get GD?
Hi Redsky,
Not sure if you resolved this or not, but thought I should at least respond to it.
By default, OpenCart looks for the mysql server on localhost. Some hosts actually have a second server specifically for MySQL. Double check to see if this may be the case. If so, replace the localhost with the ip address of the MySQL server for your host. I had a similar problem with another PHP app where the host one of my clients was using had the MySQL server running on another server.
Hope that helps!
