So I'm setting up my very first OC 1.5.1.3 and now I'm stuck at this problem.

I operate in Sweden and we don't have any use of the Zone selection. As others from Scandinavia have pointed out on the forum, it really looks amateurish to have that option when signing up or inputing a new address.

I've searched for a solution and found some incomplete threads like:

But I still haven't found a clear solution that works for me. All the threads seem to just die after a while.

Has anyone been able to get it all working with 1.5.1.3 with the help of any of these proposed solutions?

I appreciate any help. We are quite a few on the forum that are looking for an answer to this.

Bump (I haven't found info on how long you have to wait before you bump, so I waited a week. Hope that's enough).

I've tried to solve the problem by using this solution:

Instead of zone_id value 0, I also tried 3078 while editing that Zone to say Sweden (normally Skåne), neither works.

Using an existing address in the checkout process (for registered users) and registering a new address within the account page works.

The problem occurs when a customer tries to register an address in guest checkout process or if a registered customer tries to add another address in the checkout process. So it seems to be a problem in the checkout or/and guest files.

Specifically, the problem is that nothing happens when you press continue when trying to register a new address or checking out as guest.

Appreciate any help, as mentioned we are quite a few on the forum that seem to want a solution for this.


EDIT: I got a vQmod for it from a forum member. It took care of the removal in the register forms, guest checkout etc.

However, one small problem remains. If a registered customer tries to add a new address in the checkout process (Step 2 or Step 3) by choosing "I Want To Use A New Address", it doesn't work. After pressing Continue nothing happens.

The error log says this:

PHP Notice: Undefined index: zone_id in ...../public_html/catalog/model/account/address.php on line 4

Anyone familiar with this?
