I am looking at this well (avaffiliate.com) but I have some big questions

1. in the admin demo , I saw that records are kept for a max of 2 years. So what happens after that? I have to go to the db to delete it manually myself?

2. In settings -> Orders, I see that the order status is very limited.. when I installed it.. wil it check what type of status I have in the opercart system?

3. what happen to exising customers of this software .. if there is an upgrade? or bug fixes?

can we have more information please?

I will reply to each one of your questions.
1. The records aren't limited to 2 years, only the visual reports is showing data from last 2 years but all the data is kept inside database and can be accessed anytime by creating custom report (from... to...)
2. The order status is based on the status you have in your database, so if you have your own status it will appear also in settings.
3. All customers receives support for each kind of problem/bug and they will also receive future versions. Upgrades will be only when it will appear a lot of changes to add to the original version, you can't expect each month to release new version if we don't add important features.

3. Agree totally. You might want to mention that in your website because I can't find this information anywhere in your site and please mention if the upgrade are free/chargable/you dunno at this present moment for your customers.

I was planing on setting up a system so people can intergrate some affliate network system.

Included is definitely better, and less costly. Plus, there is only one butt to kick if there are problems. With an export to or tied together system you can get into a pissing contest over who is the cause of the problem.

But, you do have to keep in mind that it's more than just tracking sales and paying commissions. That's a great start, but a complete affiliate setup would include a way to supply links, banners, sales aids of all sorts, as well. I'd be happy with the sales tracking and payments to kick it off, but the whole deal would be great.

Also, a 2 tier plan, where affiliates who bring in new affiliates would also get a percentage of the new affiliates sales. Just as an example 20% to the one sending the sale and 5% to the one who signed up the one making the sale.

The links making should be automatic, so it all runs without any human intervention.

For me, having a setup where I could add affiliates and give them their own "store" through the multi-shop feature would be the ultimate package. Give them a store with a code, all sales would go through my payment processors and they would earn a commission on each sale. To the world, it would be their own store, even have a splash on their home page about them, but it would all end up back to me.

I can dream..........
