The Customer Groups module has been updated for OpenCart v1.3.0. You can download it by clicking here. No major changes: just simple updates was all it needed.

Looks like there might be a problem, correct me if I'm wrong. I'm just going with code analysis.

This file was modified as part of the Customer Group Module upgrade :

-> system/library/cart.php

However, this file was not, and both classes are very similar :

-> catalog/model/checkout/cart.php

For example, compare the functions getTotal() and getTaxes() across these 2 files.

Is this an oversight, or is it correct? If anybody can provide an explanation that would be great. Thank you !!

Daniel do you mean that this is a bug, and that it will be addressed in the next version?

I'm new here so perhaps you could point me in the right direction... I'm moving my shop over from Zen Cart to OC. Customer groups, allowing for a percentage discount based on which group the customer is in, is a REQ for me because otherwise I'd tick off my customer base ;) However.... without installing a module I have not yet found where I can set percentage based discounts for groups... I have seen where I can change the price, but the attributes don't change price with it... and I'd like to also allow customer groups that benefit from a percentage discount to also be able to take advantage of store-wide or category-wide sales, effectively allowing them to "double dip" as I have found that this spurs sales more often than not.

if you are moving from Zen to OC, then you would be using v1.3.2 which already has Customer Groups so you don't need to worry about this module.

In v1.3.2 you set the price on the discount tab for each product.
Storewide sales can be achieved with my Autodiscount module that takes off a certain percentage or flat amount during checkout.

Thanks Q! However I only see the option to assign a fixed price, not a percentage off like I currently have in ZC.

Well that was a mod that I added at one point for earlier versions of opencart. I will see about converting it to the latest version of Opencart
