Background image wont show

Hello everyone,

Im trying to add a background image to fixed location on my website. When I edit my stylesheet.css nothing shows?! How is this possible?

(It isnt a cache problem of the browser)

I hope someone can help me to solve this.

i had the same isssue and i found the problem to be that i had created my own image folder within mytheme files, so when i moved the background image to 'catalog/view/theme/mytheme/image' folder the background image appeared
