Is there anyway to remove the ability to buy products? I would like to remove it only from some products nbut not from all. I would like the customer to contact me instead.

1) Goto admin> system> localisation> stock statuses
Click insert
Enter your message, eg: Contact us for enquiries
Save
2) Goto admin> products> data
Out Of Stock Status: Contact us for enquiries
Quantity: 0 (to keep the product out of stock)
3) Goto admin> system>settings
Show Out Of Stock Warning: yes
Stock Checkout: no
You should see this in product description:
Availability: Contact us for enquiries

No problem. If anyone else wants to see a live demo with the replaced "Add to Cart" button's text, with the "Enquire" button's text, and when clicked, Product's page opened and "Ask a Question" tab activated, please PM for the link, because it's a live costumer's site.
