Hide items from search function? (1.5.1.3.)

Basically, I sell items that I would like to be 'searchable' but I'd also like to sell services which aren't searchable..

Any way to tweak a product's setting to hide it from the search function?..

Note that this would only need to be done for a handful of items (at most 10) so even if this could be done by adding a few lines of php somewhere to ignore those items, that'd work perfectly also..
