I want to redirect (301) this URL:

http://www.mydomain.com/index.php?route=common/home

TO :
http://www.mydomain.com/

how could i write the .htaccess file?

I don't understand what you want this redirect for? ::) Doesn't your domain name go to the home page already? If so, you might end up creating an infinite loop. ie You'll be redirecting to the same place.

In cpanel you can create a redirect by adding the url - it will add the htaccess for you.

i just think ,this URL become to be more friendly to search engins,

you know one site have its unique homepage URL ,that is good for SEO
