Hi all!

I have started developing an application to administer OC. The idea is that corporate clients are more comfortable using an actual application than a web based version, that and this can be re-branded quite easily. I plan on also having a report builder function, where the user can select the fields needed, and generate countless reports.


If there is anyone out there that is keen to jump in on an open source project then let me know.

Written in VB.NET, logging directly into the OC MYSQL database remotely.

NOTE: I have only JUST started this project.

I should mention, if there is enough interest then I will dedicate a URL and website for the project to get the ball rolling.

I know there were some same initiatives in the last year.

I definately would be interested in this app should it become available.

Being able to run promotions across multiple product categories/ranges would be a great feature.

I believe there is already such an app for Magento (http://www.mag-manager.com) but for me it still took too long to setup and was quite buggy. Not the sort of program I would spend $499 on.

When will it be finished? Seems very promising!

Does it really makes sence? You can easily re-brand Opencart admin area and wrap it in browsing application.
