From the same author as the original "Gift Vouchers" extension for 1.4.9.x, this extension is a complete re-write that brings back a lot of the old functionality and adds several new improvements as well. Includes must-have features such as the ability to check voucher balances, redeem multiple vouchers at once, allow for voucher removal and even toggle if voucher is good towards tax and/or shipping.

• Entirely self-contained as a single-file vQmod
• Optionally allow your customers to check their voucher balances.
• Optionally allow your customers to redeem multiple gift vouchers per order.
• Optionally allow your customers to remove vouchers from an order. No more having to clear cookies if you no longer want to redeem the voucher.
• Optionally decide if vouchers can be redeemed towards tax and/or shipping.
• Enable or disable automatic e-mailing of voucher to customers.
• View, send and edit vouchers directly on the order view.
• View order history to see if/when a voucher was e-mailed to the customer.
• Adjust the default voucher amount, minimum amount and maximum amount.
• Customize the voucher code characters and code length.

I like the adjustments that you have made with you Gift Vouchers mod but the one other big change that would help is the ability to use vouchers in the checkout process vs. the Shopping Cart. That would make a big difference.

Version 1.1 has just been released! Here are the changes:

• Adding new option "Redeem During Checkout" which allows customers to redeem vouchers during the checkout process. Without this, customers can only redeem on the shopping cart page.
• Adding a link to Check Gift Voucher Balances on the My Account page
• Fixing bug with OpenCart core that prevents customers from purchasing Gift Vouchers if they do not have any other products in their cart

great module, is it possible to apply tax to Voucher, as we can do for any other products?
I need this because our tax laws require that taxes must be specified on all items i cart/invoices, whether it is a Gift Voucher or simple product.

Is it possible to add the restriction of 1 item per voucher
Example transaction of 3 items, the customer can apply only 3 items
2 items, 2 vouchers...
I know that you have this feature into your module last year
