Question regarding Options setup

Hi
On my website I am adding some t shirts which come in a wide variety of colours, up to 56, but mainly around 30. I need this amount of options as am selling to team who want team colours which are varied.
I need on the product page a colour example like this .. (old site).

I have a drop down colour selector so it is only to show the colour choices which would enlarge on click. I would also need it to have different options for each t shirt.
Any ideas?
