Something wrong with affiliate scheme for me

Hey,

so I have been testing this out. I am running 1.5.1. I have added the simple checkout mod but during the testing have turned this off and uninstalled from inside the module area of the admin area to similar results.

I have created two test affiliates. One a while ago, one today. Initially the first one worked fine and so i stopped my testing as we aren't ready for them yet.

Today I created the second one. Firstly the tracking area in the affiliates account in the front end didn't seem to trhough up the affiliate code. I put in the name of the product but nothing came up in the tracking url bit. I clicked continue and it went back to the account homepage. I tried it for the first affiliate too which had worked before and it didn't work there either.

Next I tested some product buying by adding the affiliate tracking code to the product url

http://www.hypnosisinstalled.tv/shop/in ... 8f17797529

This all worked fine when I had simple checkout working giving the correct affiliate commission but giving it to the wrong affiliate, to the first one.

I have tried it numerous times, clearing the cache, shutting Chrome and reopening it etc., and all the same.

I then tested it on Firefox and there it wouldn't even recognise the affiliate and didn't have any commission to allocate in the sale page in the admin area.

I then uninstalled simple checkout and tried again in chrome. Again it gave it to the wrong affiliate but in addition it gave 10% of £89 ignoring the £88 coupon I added in order to run the test.

So, any ideas as this is beyond me? :)

ok, just tried another new affiliate test and again, went back to the first one i ever created. Plus without simple checkout it is ignoring the coupon, so at the moment i'm bringing in £1 and paying £8.90 in commission :)

ok, just got a friend to test it too. He clicked the link which opened in IE and did a purchase and the affiliate side of it wasn't registered.

Strange.

So can anyone think of any conflicts or mistakes I may have made. I am going to uninstall any modules I have put in since the first affiliate test account and try again.

I know this affiliate scheme works as obviously others are using it but i'm stuck and it is actually quite important to us so any ideas or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Jules

RIGHT:

i have discovered that the tracking code I was adding was wrong. I had to take it from a forum post because the Tracking link generator isn't working, and still isn't, but it was wrong. I now realise you need to add:

/?tracking=trackingcodehere

rather than how I added it before based on a forum post:

/&trackingcodehere

Which is fine and dandy and one issue resolved. But it still isn't taking into account the coupon. I know there was a fix for ignoring the postage which I have added. is there one for the coupon to be taken into consideration?
