Promotional graphic on Featured Products

I have been looking around, wondered if anyone has written some code for this;
A lot of sites now replace one or two products with a display ad or promotion for their site.
I am looking for similar, for featured products, so with say 10 featured items, one of those items is a linked graphic, same size for example 200x200.
