Search partially working

Hi All,
I think I have broken my search function on the home page. I use opencart 1.5.1.1
Well i see search on the top right side on the page, When I type something, what I type does not show, but after i hit enter it will do the search and show the result.
So the search function works but what I type does not work..... any idea how to get this solved...
