(Import/Export) _x000D_ in my descrptions

Hi

I have used import/export to import nearly 700 products. Every product now contains the characters _x000D_ throughout the item description.

Anyone know what could be causing this and how to remove?

ive read that this is machine code - but how is it getiing pulled in? Is my spreadsheet corrupt?
