Multiple Choice flat rate shipping?

Hi wonder if anyone can help, we are an online aquatics shop and are having difficulty finding a shipping module that fits in with our business, what i am looking for is a shipping module that offers the following

Live fish before 12.00 noon £
Dry Goods Next Day £
Dry Goods economy £
Frozen Food before 12.00 noon £
Collect From Store

Im not that good with coding ect so any help would be appreciated, using Version 1.5.1.3

I'm in need of a multiple flat rate shipping solution for my site.

I use a simple flat-rate shipping for all of my sales. This has worked well for me for a while.

Problem is, I've started selling products that sell 100 times better with a separate flat-rate charge, which will be half the price of my original flat rate fee. I will sell most of my products with a $10 flat rate fee, and a number of new products for a $5 flat rate fee.

I've used the Options field, in conjunction with "shipping required: no" on each product, to specify a shipping charge when the customer goes to add the item to the cart. This works OK, assuming the customer is not buying anything else. If they buy anything else, or buy more than one of the same item, they are forced to pay the shipping fee multiple times. In other words, the customer should pay $5 flat fee for one or many of the same item, but with Options I'm forced to charge $5 on every item they buy, then adjust their pricing when I run their credit card.

I need the flexibility of more than one flat rate shipping charge, singular or multiple items, with the ability to specify which flat rate charge applies to which types of items. From my search online, I don't see a single solution that does this (or I'm just not reading the descriptions well, if there IS one mod that will do this).

I don't want anyone selecting the lower shipping charge when they should be charged the higher one, and I don't want someone to be forced to pay double the shipping charge, as this would likely kill my sales on those items.

Any information would be very helpful.

You could use my Category-Based Shipping extension to charge different flat rate amounts for different product categories. You then just need to put your products into categories, and choose how you want the rates to combine. (There's a setting called Multiple Rates Calculation in the admin settings that lets you set the calculation to be the Average, Highest, Lowest, or Sum of the rates within each geo zone.)
