MOD: Check - Money Order Payment Modules for Opencart v7.6.1

From ideas here in the forum, I have put together a Check and Money Order Module, Originally I had Made it only one module for both Check and Money Order, but I did not like the fact I did not know if a check or money order was mailed so I made one for each.

looked at the code... i have not created a module like this yet, so the permissions script is news to me.

can you help me and any other potential mod writers understand what this is doing?

If you just install the module, when you try to enable it or access the options, you will receive a permissions denied error. The script will assign the proper permissions before hand so you do not, need to do it manually.

Just did a live test, and had a few errors, will update soon.. it worked locally ;(

After I went to "Top Administrator" and selected the modules "payment_check" and "payment_moneyorder"
I am no longer able to do anything in the Admin area. I can not even log out. It says the following:

Permission Denied!
You do not have permission to access this page, please refer to your system administrator.

What should the permissions be for each folder or file?

I thought that I was supposed to just highlight the added files so I unselected all the other modules (my mistake). I tried to over write the files by re-uploading. It did not work so I just reinstalled everything.

Now I have a new situation. After, I used the insert languages and I added a flag .gif into the images folder directory, I got errors.

In both Ie and firefox I could not do anything in the admin area.

In firefox I could not even see the store. I got the following errors:

Error: Language file /home/babyjen/public_html/3dgugle/store/catalog/language/3dgugle.com/store/index/image/italy.gif not found!

Error: Language file /home/babyjen/public_html/3dgugle/store/admin/language/image/italy.gif not found!

in IE at

it just shows the italian flag

I am trying to install the module but when I klick on the + icon it says You do not have permission to access this page, please refer to your system administrator. I have checked the administrator rights section but all is active there. No ideea what is the problem.

thanks for this extension => this should be very useful. However, I've got a problem when trying to install it. Note that I'm running with french language. So I have created in the 'language' folders each time a french folder with translations. Everithing works fine when installing it except step 5 : when I go to Extensions >> Payment (in my french admin panel) I don't see anything :-(. Any idea to solve this ?

Thank you very much for these great modules, but perhaps you can help me. I am working on a module in a similar vein, but for "Direct Deposit". I've basically taken the 5 files for "check" and made all the *I think* necessary modifications to create 5 separate files for direct deposit. I can create the extension under "extensions" in the admin area, and am also able to add "payment_directdeposit" to the "access" and "modify" user groups for my admin account.

I then go back to "extensions" and attempt to install the extension by clicking on the "+" and get a "Success: You have updated the Direct Deposit payment module!" message, but the wrench icon does not come up and the "+" remains a "+" (it does not change to a "-").

I figure there is probably some variable or function name somewhere which I have neglected to change, but after poring through the code multiple times and comparing each file to its respective "check" partner, I can't for the life of me find it. As such, any pointers in this area which anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated! .

One post for a question is enough. I have asked for more information in the other location.

Im using the Bank Deposit module and have had no problems installing.

However i was wondering how i would go about adding my bank details somewhere withing the checkout process
or the order received confirmation page?
