Product downloads - How do we add/use them?

So product downloads, how can we add new products that are only avaliable for downloading?

Hi bubblegate,

First you need to create a product and on the download tab select the downloads you wish to link to the product.

When a customer buys one of these products he will have the download appear in his account.

Fair enough, when an download is added, mine doesn't seem to upload to the /download dir? Any ideas? No errors are returned and the dir's chmod'd 777

I've fixed that now. I also moved the downloads dir out of the WWW root for security. May I ask, why doesn't the system automatically allow users to download downloads from their account?
