How to connect OC v1.5.1.3.1 with MySQL Workbench

I have been using OC for about a year now. I have multiple websites running OC. I really like it.
My problem is I need to update certain fields in MySQL directly. I can login to my webhost and go the PHPmyAdmin and make changes... I have a large product offering that is maxing out my host cpu settings (cap) when I do bulk imports.
However, I would like to update the database fields offline and then connect and update them remotely from my computer. I want to keep the website active/online as much as possible and I expect offline updates would be the quickest.
I downloaded MySQL Workbench and installed it on my computer. When I try to connect to the database in question, it does not work.
I am using OC v1.5.1.3.1 with MySQL Workbench. My webhost is Arvixe.com and I have a Personal Class hosting account. I added my IP address to the Remote MySQL in CPanel. Same web hosting advertised here on OC.com FYI: They offer a lot of capability for the money too!
Does anyone know what the connection settings are in MySQL Workbench to connect with my OC database?
UPDATE: I now know that it can be done. However, the question above remains to be solved yet.
Thanks!
Keith
