I assume you mean "I do not pass links"?-=luvz2drv=- wrote: my site is live.. sorry but I sign off with my clients that I do pass links...
to there site..
That's kinda strange -- wouldn't they want as much traffic as possible? What if they're selling some goods that I would like to buy!? :-)
some people may not be as excited to share the live shop url's, for security reasons. while i am confident in opencart (my shop is getting close to production ready), i don't intend to make it easy for someone to discover which platform it is running on.
this is probably only one of the reasons for not sharing client sites in a forum such as this.

I would hope that simply knowing that someone is using OpenCart doesn't constitute a security problem... Are there security concerns with OpenCart?d77 wrote: some people may not be as excited to share the live shop url's, for security reasons.
It's not uncommon for software vendors (open source projects included) to have a "showcase" list of sites that use their product. That's kinda what I'm looking for.
If OpenCart's security is not to the point where such a "showcase" list would be considered "safe" -- well, that worries me.
At any rate, all that aside -- does anyone have some live OpenCart installations up that they'd be willing to share?
sorry, i didn't mean to put anyone off by this. the reality is that opencart is in its infancy, but there are no known vulnerabilities - it is simply a precaution. from what i have seen, the approach follows many security "best practices"!
if users wish to share their sites, the place to post that is in the "Live Shops" section of the forum. i think this is the showcase you are looking for, and there are a few posted there already.
i am just trying to help you understand why client sites may not wish to be posted

alot of times I work 3rd or 4th party... on installs from where the actual client is... so to the client I am transparent... I like it that way .. saves alot of my phone ringing.. when it hits the fan... but that becomes apart of the contract of work that I work under..
nothing more...
nothing more...
