This is a great product so I am curious..who besides DANIEL is part of the main development team. In open source many make contributions but who are the ones that decide if its worth putting into the so called CORE and who will make decission on whats possibled CERTIFIED future modules and/or plugins.

Please introduce yourselves:

Daniel wrote:3 new members are joining the development team.

Peter Russell (ex Joomla Core Team)
Shayne Bartlett (ex Joomla Core Team)
Waseem Sadiq (Bullet Proof Templates)

They have made major contributions to both mambo, joomla and are planing to promote OpenCart.

We are also planing to setup a stand in the Linux World Exibition in Oct or Nov.

Peter Russell (ex Joomla Core Team)
Peter is working with me on another project that could help drum up some money. He has been seriously ill for the past few weeks and waiting for him to get better before continuing.

Shayne Bartlett (ex Joomla Core Team)
not really spoke to him for a while.

Waseem Sadiq (Bullet Proof Templates)
Currently working on a new frontend web template. I'm also planning on selling templates Waz creates through the main site.

Cool,..its nice to know..I know you Daniel have put in the bulk of the code..GREAT JOB.. I tesed out over 15 different open source shopping cart systems.. and your has the cleanest look and by far the BEST ADMIN SECTION out of them all....makes it so much easier to help a business get trained on the backend.

Daniel, thank you, I hope you make millions and millions of squids!

OpenCart is FANTASTIC! I love it. Really hits the right note in so many places - and the backend admin is pure genius - finally a backend that seems to be built for the user, not the developer. I too expect a near 0 learning curve for users, but you know how daft they can be sometimes.

As soon as my shop (if ever given the credit crunch) makes any money at all I shall be donating!

Thank you for all the hard work. It is greatly appreciated and I shall be shouting your praises at every opportunity!

OpenCart is simply the best OS shopping cart around.
(Actually Magento is pretty cool too, but in comparison to OpenCart, it is a prehistoric lumbering giant, doing all things for all men. The only great thing about it is the way it handles multiple shops on different domains from one backend admin and one database. That would be a great new thing for OpenCart, but I would imagine would be very, very hard to achieve.)

Best wishes,

Paul.
