can anyone tell me where you can modify the fields that are searched? Also, how are keywords associated to products? there is not keyword section in the add product portion of admin.

My goal is to have the search defaulted to searching
Catagory, sub category, product name, description, and options.

just not sure where to set that up.

I think i just need someone that knows what they are doing.  if you are out there, contact me

the system already looks at all products , in all cats and all sub cats.

what it is doing is looking for the same word or search pharse in the product heading or if checked the description

it works if i type the product title in.  but if i just do a search on the cat or sub cat it won't

if you just type Men's, you will get nothing.
if you type in running you get nothing
if you type in 8505 you would get the M8505WL shoe

seems to me my setup isn't searching the cat/sub cat fields right?
not to mention the options, in case they want to search for Absorb or N-lock, 2 technologies in the shoes.
i also want it to default check description and not have to manually select this if the original search failed.

i just don't know where it is in the code that says for search to check in what area.  I was thinking/hoping it would be a simple matter of adding a few table names to a list or something.
