I, like many others make lots of small changes to core files of Opencart. I found this script called phpFineDiff

http://www.raymondhill.net/finediff/viewdiff-ex.php

I think it would be possible to make it so you could give your modified copy of opencart and a copy of the version you started with. It would recursively iterate through the directories and do file comparisons. When it was done all your changes should be able to be loaded through vQmod XML files.

What do you guys think? I gave that script an origional theme file and a modified one and got pretty good output. I think it might be possible. Anyone interested?

Yea its been discussed.. just not all that easy to do. There are a few diff methods that I've looked into... basically have to convert from the diff format and make a parser to create the xml for it. Not impossible.. but I personally don't have time at the moment as that would be a lot of tedious code
