Admin product filtering forces a match against the first word in a product name meaning results like "Chrome Widget" or "Large Widget" will not appear when filtering for "widget". Since Daniel won't say why this method is preferable and deleted the thread it's probably a safe bet this isn't going to be changed.

If you have any of the 1.4.x releases or 1.5.1 then you already have these changes and don't need them. If you have 1.5.0.x or 1.5.1.x then you may find this useful.

It shouldn't be too baffling. It was designed for a completely different version of OpenCart. I've updated it now.

It might be useful for some if it was to also select distinct. That was part of my To Do when I got round to it.
Reason being that I use mainly Model filter and have hundreds of products with the model 'Wedding Invitation' which gives a long duplicated list in the Ajax fetch ...

... but I suppose it's a nice to have feature and perhaps not something that most would require.
