I have the same problem as the this guy. My host is Bluehost and I talked to their support and told them I needed GD2 and they said it's on the server I'm using blah blah blah. I have no idea what else todo, thought this newer version was going to be alittle more user friendly, but this is a big roadblock. Is there something you can help me with?
do you have any error logs?walt4599 wrote:I have the same problem as the this guy. if so can you please look for anything related to images.
if not please pm me your admin details and possibly ftp access.
the reason you can not upload pictures was!!!!!!
BECAUSE YOU HAD !!!!!DISPLAY PARSE TIME ON!!!!!
I have turned it off and it works perfectly.
If you have display parse time on it effects the AJAX.
OpenCart uses a language called JSON to send reponses back to the browser. If the parse time is runningh at the bottom its going to cause problems with the json string being sent back to the browser because it has a the time at the bottom that is not in JSON format.
you should have been able to work ths problem out.

Were you trying to upgrade a previous version of 1.2.8 using 1.2.9 files?
I did and uploading didn't work until I uploaded all the admin files. Now it works great.
