Hi,

I wonder if there is any module where you can get the rebate "take three pay for two", etc. for different products?

probably, but you can already do this using product options.

Example, product costs £10.00

first option would be "1 for £10.00" (leave price 0.00)

2nd option, "3 for £20.00" (make the price + £10.00)

So when a customer picks option "3 for £20.00", it will make the total

product price + option price (£10.00 + £10.00)

The only issue would be keeping track for inventry.

could probably also use the Discounts ?

However if you want buy product X and product y and get product x, y or z for free, then this is not possible.

May add a SaleMaker extension to my list of things to code.

But I would like to do so that everyone in the category "Books" is eg 3 for 50 dollars. Or be able to choose the book, that book, that book, etc. should be included among taking 3 for 50 dollars.

How do I do it in the smartest way?

but if I do as you say. Adds per product. Then it feels like if you buy that product you get three for example, $ 50 ..

But if I want such as all books should be 3 to 50? it may well not be in the same way?

It's not possible in Default OC to mix and match products to get a discount, so I refer back to my previous post regarding the requirement for a Sale Maker type module/extension

It is on my list to do.

There will be several options available

e.g.

Buy Qty Product X
+
Buy Qty Product Y
=
Product Z (percent of or value off) - or something else (free shipping etc)

Lots of ways to make a bargain/sale will be added, too many to simply name here and it is still in my brain, so I need to put pen to paper.

With current work load it is looking like end of September unless I work really hard on current jobs and stop going Clay Shooting on Fridays ;)

I'm a new member and OpenCart user. I'm looking for a module like the one discussed in this thread. MangentoGo has it built in, but I'm hoping to stay with OpenCart - any status update on this module? We're past September and into November. How's the development going? Good news forthcoming I hope?

Thanks

We have written such modules for other carts, and could easily do a custom one for opencart too. Please email us on dev@dukeent.net if youd like to commission it. (Rates £35/Hr GBP)
