As I will be adding some some extra pages I needed to be able to add some content without the hassle of deaing with it through language files and I also needed an easy way to overide the css formatting.

All I've done is more or less replicate the welcome module but addded the CKEditor to a title field so that the title of the module can be set using htlm and there is also a start and end date to control when certain content is displayed.

Available here if anyone wants it: http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=2639

if you want to see what I'm talking about then you can see an example of it in use Here

I've now included a 1.5.0.5 version.

if anyone downloaded this before 13.50 today (sat 23rd) then download it again as there were quite a few bugs in it. All sorted now though.

thx for the update. Will it be updated to fit 1.51 upwards in the future? Danial says the codes for 1.51 modules change a lil bit and the way that the module data stored in mysql has changed.

it already does support 1.5.1, in as much as there are 2 versions: a 1.5.0.5 version and a 1.5.1 version. It is indeed correct that the way modules are handled has been changed, it's now much easier.

The 1.5.1 version should work on 1.5.1.1 and above and if I'm around then I'll keep it updated.

I've made a simple VQMod to add a direct link to it on the Extension Menu...

It is simply too annoying that every time I need to make a edition on some "extensions" (especially the ones often used) to have to click on the Extensions Menu, then click in Module, then find the module I want to only then, finally, click on that tiny little link "Edit" to work with the module... I rather simply click Extensions > Page Content intead... 8)

If you feel the same, simply install this VQMod (page_content-onMenu.xml) and enjoy the usage of less clicks. :joker:

This same XML can be modified to add anything else on the Admin Menus. Simply look inside and play with it. :clown: As an example, I've attached another XML I did to add the VQMod Manager (http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?t=36235) to the System Menu, the vqManager-onMenu.xml here below.

Enjoy it.

Hi grgr,

Thank you for the great module :D

I would like to know how to make the area wider?

I have used it to put social media icon links in but one of them is forced onto a second line. I want to expand the width to match the banner underneath.
