Hi,
Download products should work the same way as normal products as far as I'm aware.
You will need to check Google's Product Policies for Download products, I jsut had a quick look but couldn't see that they weren't allowed.
The recent update will enable all single products to meet the upcoming Sept 22nd requirements (for OC 1.5.x currently)
Hopefully in the next few days I will have updated again for 1.4.x

Looking forward to purchasing this when you have the update finished for 1.4.9.4. as your feedback shows you have great customer service. Is there anything I'll need to keep in mind regarding my products? Many are handmade and thus don't have UPCs.
Kind Regards,
Joan
p.s. If you ever develop a Google Analytics module that supports eCommerce transactions let me know as I'm having problems with the one i purchased from someone else.

Hi Joan,
1.4.9.x version is a couple of days away at most now.
You need not worry too much regarding your handmade items.
If you already have a Google Account, you can fill out an exemption form at: http://www.google.com/support/merchants ... _exemption
A Google rep will visit your site and check you out
A few of my clients have done this and are now exempt due to their items being custom made.
I will have a look at Analytics when I have 5 minutes spare (gawd knows when that will be though lol).

Got the update and it's working great.
Question though - the script to clear the category from individual products...does it delete the other fields like color and size ones I added? I've been manually going thru and adding that info for days now and don't want to have to start over.
If I set a google category for a parent, will the child automatically pick it up? Like if I set "Jewelry" to the google category, will my sub categories under Jewelry know to use the google category as well? Or do I have to edit each sub category too? Hoping to save myself a little time in getting all my categories set up.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

No, it just removes the Google Product Category from individual products.labeshops wrote: Question though - the script to clear the category from individual products...does it delete the other fields like color and size ones I added? In the previous version it was either the default Google Product Category set-up in the feed settings which could be overridden on a per product basis
The problem with that was the default category was displayed when you viewed a product.
As soon as you saved the product, it fixed that Google Product Category to that product too.
This wasn't a real problem until this new update where you can now override the default Google Product Category set in the feed settings on a per store category basis and on a per product basis. However the per store category is overridden by the previously saved per product Google Product Categories.
Hence the fix file to clear the per product Google Product Categories to allow the per store category Google Product Categories to work.
I can't see that many people would have applied a per product Google Product Category, but when the fix file is run it produces a list of all products that have a Google Product Category assigned to them so that if need be, they can be reassigned again. Although most people will now opt to do it on a per store category basis.
Unfortunately, because products can be assigned to multiple categories, the feed grabs the first category it encounters that has an override and uses that Google Product Category.labeshops wrote: If I set a google category for a parent, will the child automatically pick it up? Each category and it's subcategories will need to be edited.
I may look at this in the future, but at present it is far better than having to edit each product at least.
Hope this helps
Just wanted to publicly thank Simon for his tireless and patient help in installing this extension.
It was the first time I had installed an extension via VQMOD and it's fair to say that I found it a steep learning curve!
I would also add that it's a great extension and does exactly what it should, well worth the price.
