Is there an affiliate program available for OpenCart?
I have a real estate company that wants to allow people to become affiliates and place a banner on their own web site. Then when a person clicks on the banner and makes a purchase, the affiliate module would pay a commission to the referrer.
I am willing to pay up to $100.00 for this functionality and I am sure other people would also.
Viking Coders has a module for Miva Merchant, that may be modified to work with Opencart.

yes, 1.5.0 works pretty well. But more modifications can be welcomed arms wide. 
Modification that would be great is the ability for an affliate to click a link next to each product which generates an affliate link for them to promote.
either that, or intergrate the share scripts to post the generated affiliate product links direct to social networks.
I dont like the idea currently of the affiliate having to type the product name into a text box in order to view a list of matching products and then generate the link to share. its not the best solution.

I think it's been made clear that the affiliate module is a HUGE feature for opencart.
So I have 3 suggestions:
1. base the affiliate percentage on the subtotal 'before' shipping cost. I made the correction based on a post here in the forum, but it should be defaulted to that.
2. if a sale is linked to an affiliate, list the affiliate in the dash board along with the sale so that we know immediately we have an affiliate payment to look into without having to view the details of the sale. I would always process those first to ensure my affiliates are taken care of.
3. give affiliates their own link to the home page that is not specific to a product. That way they can get credit for any purchase as long as it's associated to that session. Having links that only go to a specific product is very limiting.

How does the tracking link generator work? Is that part still in beta, or is it supposed to auto complete and my browser isn't finishing it off? I'm using 1.5.1.3

How do you keep this module from paying commissions on taxes?
It should only pay on the value of the goods themselves, not shipping, taxes, fees, etc.

comission is based on whether a sale takes place or not, and how much that sale was. it has nothing to do with the value of goods and shipping and taxes.
you charge the correct tax based on the total of the sale, the comission you pay should be factored in to your product pricing.
plus, if you are worried about paying tax on profit that you have paid in comission you would be wrong, since commissions would be an expense to you, reducing your overall tax payment.

You are SO WRONG. There is not a real business in the world that employs commissioned sales people and pays commissions on shipping, taxes or other incidentals. It is paid on the price of the goods - period.

Hello, im very interesting in this module of affiliate, but i dont know for me not work. I dont know how to use or if im installing wrong opencart.
I prove after instal normally opencart, and i can generate the route, that route send me to the product with the affiliate tracking code, but when i go to the shopping cart or generate the order, i dont see anywhere that is charge the comission for the affiliate, i see in affiliates and for everywhere, but dont get any record for a comission of seld for an affiliate.
I really need help here.
