In this case the accessory is not added to the cart. It may seem that the module has bugs, but does not. I'll put this note in the documentation of the module.

Hi i'm having a problem with this extension can you please help me, I have installed by following the read me file but i cant see the product accessories withing the link tab or anywhere on my opencart admin can you please help as iv been trying to sort this out for a few weeks now. Also i have tried the vqmod version and another.

Tried the 1.5.x demo

1. It looks like the accessories are multiplied by the quantity of the base product, right?

Is this optional?

I would want the main product quantity to be independent of the accessories options.

2. If the accessories are just regular products anyway, then if those products have quantity discounts, is the quantity pricing reflected correctly when this extension calculates pricing?

1. It is not optional. In this case the Buy Together module may be what you are looking for.

2. It is a limitation. Only when you add to cart the discount is calculated.

Is there a way to designate products that are meant to be only accessories such that they can not be purchased alone? Or only visible as accessories, not as stand-alone products?

Only stand-alone products can be used as accessories.

1) Is there a way to change the display text "Accessories" to some other text?
2) Is there a way to hide the "Total product with accessories:" calculation? The main product has options with differing prices and it's confusing to the customer when the wrong total is displayed. The selected option and accessories are being added to the cart at the proper prices, so, I don't want to display inaccurate information at any point

Back to the original question. Do you know of an extension to require that a product may only be purchased at the same time as a specific other product?.

Having trouble installing this.
[to the best of my ability] I followed the included instructions to the letter with no luck.
We had someone already repairing our databases and updating the cart so we contracted him. He couldn't get the module up and running. (And he was able to to everything else we asked)
Bottom line is the module isn't displaying in the backend, but we can see the tables in phpMyAdmin.
What could it be?
