Count review beside star rating

I am running OC 1.4.9.3
I want to display count total review beside star rating in latest_home (see illustration below). Can anyone help please?

you can write a function count_view ($product_id) get from table "view" in database.
Then echo in .tpl

Since it's not a quick change with just a few lines of code
