Core Functions

I'm just wondering, what other core functions/features are you working on? Ones that will form the core of OpenCart 1.x.? Maybe we can help with a few of those?
I am keen to help out and develop stuff although am still learning PHP.
I see big potential for OpenCart. Im stuck in the middle of Opencart 0.7 and v1 at the moment!
