Hi,

Has anybody tested the shipping_cost_by_manufacturer made by cits on 1.4.9.4 ?
I just installed it but can't get the geo-zones to work, not sure where/how I would enter different shipping costs to different shipping zones.

Am I missing something?

I would like to mod this extension to accommodate for other needs but it's useless for me if I can't get the geo-zones to work...

Thanks, I hope I'm doing something stupid... :joker:

haven't tried the mod but geozones haven't changed so I assume this should be working fine. First create your geozones.. after the zones are created I would guess they would dynamically show up in the mod

Thanks Q,

It must be something withing the extension, I do see the geo zones in there so that part is OK ...

But no matter whatever geo zone I select, I only have one set of fields to enter the shipping costs, nothing separate per zone, the geo zone selection is a dropdown, no tabs as in the shipping by weight...
When selecting another geo zone shipping costs fields do not update/clear out so I guess there might be something wrong there...
And it seems the costs are always applied, even when selecting a country not listed in any geo zone....

Oh yes, I am testing this in a shop just installed from scratch so no other mods or whatever that could interfer...

O0 I got the geo-zone functionality working O0

Now as the initial extension seems to be a mod done on the flat rate module I can only apply it to a single geo-zone :choke:

So either I try to merge the original mod with the weight-based module's muti-geo-zone or I install this module three times... (local rate, neighouring countries rate & row rate)

 :joker:

Just remembered I'm no programmer and I have other stuff waiting...
So I guess I will just install the mod three times...

(Especially with the new OpenCart 1.5 in the pipeline my merge work might quickly become obsolete anyhow)

Unless someone has a guide or a mod on how to use the flat-rate module for multi-geo-zones... ??? ;) ;D

(Q, I know there is no reason to duplicate the flat rate module but I need to apply different flat rates depending on products, my problems is that packing (and shipping) cost is very dependant on product, from an envelope to a big box, this is dependant on product size, not weight or quantity or price...)
