I am getting the above error on shipping. I've disable the usps and still get the error. Everything is accurate when as far as username etc.
What am I doing wrong here???
where is it getting this 111286 number from. I've never entered that into anything before that i'm aware of. I just tried uninstalling the shipping methods and re-setting everything up..Still get the same error....

Both of those errors come from the respective gateways
USPS says your username is invalid or isn't enabled on the production server
UPS says Texas isn't a valid state, likely due to you not reading the admin area label that says "Use 2-letter code" for state
OK...that was the case as far as the UPS on the 2-letter code.
Still getting the error on USPS...when I activated my USPS shipping api's they first gave me a unique username and password for testing. Once tested they sent me 2 seperate URL's to use. the password they gave me to test with is this the one I need to use.

The core usps module doesn't have an option to use the test server. i suppose we could add it. for now you can follow this thread:

Be sure you don't add "Test" to the shippingapi.dll part of the url tho
